RIP Albert

RIP Albert
Albert, you made my dream possible. Salsa changed my life, and one of my dreams was to conquer your confidence to entrust me with the direction of your festival DVD. When I started dancing in 2000, one of the biggest salsa festival in the world was happening in Los Angeles and my dream as a young cameraman was to shoot it one day. I started filming 1 then 2 then 10 festivals.. We met in London in 2004, then in Zurich in 2005 and it was at the Murcia festival in 2007 that you asked me to come and film yours. You brought 4 small French people to film the famous Los Angeles Salsa Festival! I was so proud, my team too and my dream came true, and you trusted me 7 more years. I would never be grateful enough Albert and your disappearance is a rip. I remember this moment of the 2007 edition, after 6 hours of shooting where we were exhausted my team and I and I asked you: Albert, do you need us to record the concert too? And you replied: Yes please, I will have it for my old days ... I do what now? It's not fair ! :-( We crossed over so many festivals around the world that I could observe with what obstinacy and consistency you worked for the professionalization of this environment so amateur sometimes. Before each show, you explained to the young dancers at length the keys to a successful show in every detail. I remember this advice you gave them always hold show costume in plane cabin, and i was thinking of you every time an artist arrived on stage dressed badly because a luggage not rendered ... :-) You miss me Albert Torres Thank you for trusting us, thank you for everything you have done for this little world of salsa and its children.
